The holy prophet
says “there is reward for kindness to every living thing”, Therefore, kindness
is a virtuous act. Being kind has special divine rewards. Al-Raheem is one of
the names of Allah, and this conveys this message that we should this quality
of Allah in ourselves. Though we can not be as kind as Allah is, but we can have
this quality among the people. A person, not having kindness is not a complete
human being. And those who are not kind, has a very bad position in Islam. Kindness
is not only a virtuous act in Islam, but also in all the religions.
Christianity, Hinduism, and other religions also emphasize on kindness. Moreover,
kindness is ethics. It is taught in the course of humanity. Even the communists
demand their followers to be kind. Kindness builds better relationships among
siblings, relatives, friends, mates, and etc. Though kindness has nothing to do
with religion, our religion underlines kindness. In addition, being kind is good
for physical and mental health. Being kind releases feel-good hormone in your
body. It boosts your serotonin which is responsible for satisfaction and
well-being. And it prevents illness. Mentally, kindness can affect us a lot.
Kindness brings happiness in your life. As it lets you be very good to the
people and you see the people very happy and good to you, this can affect you
mentally to become happy, as you see the people being happy. It increases love.
The kindness of a person can affect others psychologically, they feel love for
you, and they star loving you, specially in a relationship. It reduces stress. A
kind person has no stress, his kindness does not allow him become stressed. And
it reduces anxiety and fear. If you are kind to the people, they will not fight
you, they will no longer expand enmity with you. It builds your personality.
The people will start appreciating your personality because of your kindness.
